Finish Each Day

Right now the sky from my window is deep blue with an auburn pinkish hue on the horizon. The wind is crisp and the atmosphere is ripe with all that's possible, all that's beautiful in the world. This moment reminds me of one of my favorite Emerson quotes:

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.
